Mark Carey Contracting have the experience, knowledge and services to help make your farming, horticultural or lifestyle land management easier. Mark Carey Contracting have the machinery and drills available for direct drilling crop and pasture as well as a six row maize drill for maize, sweetcorn and other crops. The ground prepping usually begins in September.
Another area of specialisation is baleage and hay harvesting from mowing through to the stacking of medium square and round bales. The hay and baleage is processed with modern equipment, which includes a Pottinger mower, two Lely twin rotor rakes, Massey Ferguson 2150 and 185 Medium Square balers, a McHaley Fusion round baler and a fleet of modern well appointed tractors. In addition to harvesting Mark buys standing grass and co-ordinates baleage and hay sales.
Mark Carey Contracting provide a number of other services including hill country and ex forestry development, bush and bog discing, tandem discing, lime and fertilizer spreading with a tow behind spreader, ground preparation and seed sowing. A full cultivation service is available along with maize planting and direct drilling.
